I. Core Requirements for Gypsum Board Export Packaging

1. Packaging Material Selection

- The outer layer is typically 0.2mm thick moisture-proof kraft paper (compliant with ASTM D5639), with an inner layer of 5mm foam board for cushioning.

- Edge protection must be made of HDPE plastic (high-density polyethylene) with an impact strength of ≥ 50 kJ/m² (referring to ISO 179-1 test standard).

2. Standard Dimensions and Stacking Specifications

- Common export gypsum board dimensions are 1220mm x 2440mm, with a single package weight ≤ 30kg (to avoid overweight and increased ocean freight costs).

- Each pallet must be stacked no higher than 1.5 meters, secured horizontally with PET strapping, and must bear a load capacity of 1 ton (ISTA 3A certified for transport testing).

II. Key Technologies for Moisture and Shock Resistance
1. Moisture-Proofing Treatment

- A desiccant (20g of silica gel per package, humidity controlled to ≤ 60%) must be placed inside the packaging, and vacuum sealing technology must be used.

- The interior of the shipping container must be covered with moisture-proof film with a thickness of ≥ 0.1mm (water vapor transmission rate tested according to ISO 2234).

2. Earthquake-Resistant Design

- Corrugated cardboard interlayers (weight ≥ 200g/m²) should be inserted between gypsum boards to reduce friction during transportation.

- The packaging boxes must pass a drop test from a height of 1.2 meters (ISTA 1A standard) to ensure that no corners are damaged.

III. Key Points for International Shipping Compliance

1. Labeling and Certification

- The outer box must be marked with the "Fragile" and "Moisture-Proof" icons (in accordance with labeling regulations).

- CE certification (EN 520 standard) is required for the EU market, and ASTM C1396 fire rating is required for the US market.

2. Cost Optimization Suggestions

- Using a folding packaging design can reduce storage space by 30%. "Top and bottom lid" boxes are recommended.
