Anhydrite Gypsum Powder Production Line
The anhydrite gypsum powder production line follows a similar production process as the natural production line. However, this line's sole raw material is anhydrite gypsum. While both natural and anhydrite gypsum share similar properties, their chemical compositions are different. Anhydrite does not contain water, making it a more challenging material to work with. Specifications and maintenance of gypsum powder production lines

Specifications
Crushing Machine: Sometimes called a jaw crusher or hammer crush, its capacity can be from 90 to 120t/h. A crusher with a feeder that is 100mm can take big lumps of raw gypsum. The size of entry lumps can vary with different systems. The exit size is smaller than 20mm.
Mill Machine: An important machine in the production line is the mill. A gypsum powder mill can have a capacity from 8 to 150t/h. Currently, there are 3 common kinds of mills used– Raymond mill, ring roller mill, and vertical mill. They all reduce raw gypsum into fine powder by using different techniques.
Calcium Sulfate Dehydrator: The function of a gypsum powder production line is to take semi-hydrate or hardanhydrite gypsum and heat them up to form anhydrite gypsum (which has little or no water). During this function, the machine is also called a calciner. There are 6 common types of calciners such as rotary dryer, fluidized bed, rotary kiln, kettle, ray dryer, and vertical furnace. Each calciner has a different design and working system. Its capacity can vary from 5t/h up to 40t/h.
Bagging Machine: After processing, the final product needs to be packed. A gypsum powder bagging machine puts powder into bags or big containers. Its capacity can be from 40 to 60bags/h.
Conveyor: A packing conveyor can take bags or containers away from the packing machine. Its speed is about 10m/min.
Storage Silo: Powder storage silos can hold up to 150t of end product. It is the end storage place before sale to customers.
Maintenance
Each machine in the production line has to be checked and serviced on a routine basis. This is to ensure efficiency and smooth operation. Usually, the equipment manufacturers will give instructions on the route of maintenance and the servicing schedules for all their machines.

Operation process
Raw Material Extraction and Preparation
The production of gypsum powder begins with the extraction of gypsum rock from mines or quarries. This raw material is then transported to a processing facility where it undergoes several preparatory steps. The extracted gypsum is crushed to reduce the size of the rock, making it easier to handle and process in subsequent stages.
Grinding Process
Once the gypsum rock is crushed, it is fed into a grinding mill. This is a crucial part of the production line as it determines the fineness and quality of the gypsum powder. The grinding mill pulverizes the gypsum into a fine powder, which is then classified based on particle size. The classified powder is stored in silos until it is needed for further processing.
Calcination Process
The next step in the gypsum powder production line is the calcination process. During this phase, the fine gypsum powder is heated to approximately 150-180 degrees Celsius in a calcination kiln. This process removes about three-quarters of the water content, transforming the gypsum into plaster of Paris (CaSO₄·½H₂O). Calcination is critical as it impacts the quality and performance of the final product.
Cooling and Aging
After calcination, the plaster of Paris needs to be cooled and aged. The hot calcined gypsum is transferred to a cooler where it is allowed to return to room temperature. Aging is necessary to ensure that the plaster of Paris attains the desired consistency and properties for its intended applications. This step may involve storing the product for a specific period.
Final Grinding and Packaging
The cooled and aged plaster of Paris undergoes a final grinding process to achieve the required fineness. This step ensures uniform particle size distribution and enhances the quality of the gypsum powder. Once the final grinding is complete, the gypsum powder is packaged in bags or bulk containers, ready for distribution to customers.
