Gypsum Board Classification

The main gypsum boards currently produced in China include: paper faced gypsum board, decorative gypsum board, gypsum hollow strip board, fiber gypsum board, gypsum sound-absorbing board, positioning point gypsum board, etc.
(l) Paper faced gypsum board paper. Paper gypsum board is a lightweight board made with gypsum slurry as the core and paper as the cover on both sides. Paper gypsum board is lightweight, high-strength, fire-resistant, mothproof, and easy to process. Ordinary paper gypsum board is used for interior walls, partitions, and suspended ceilings. Water resistant gypsum board with fire-resistant treatment can be used for lining walls of rooms with high humidity, such as bathrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc. with ceramic tiles, metal plates, and plastic faced brick walls.
(2) Decorative gypsum board. Decorative gypsum board is a board made from building gypsum as the main raw material, mixed with a small amount of fiber materials, etc., with various patterns and decorations, such as gypsum printed board, perforated ceiling board, gypsum relief ceiling board, paper gypsum decorative board, etc. It is a new type of indoor decoration material suitable for mid to high end decoration, with the characteristics of lightweight, fireproof, moisture-proof, easy processing, and simple installation. In particular, the new type of resin imitation facing waterproof gypsum board is covered with resin, and the facing imitation pattern. Its color pattern is realistic, novel and generous. The board has high strength, resistance to pollution, and is easy to clean. It can be used to decorate walls, as wall panels and baseboard. It is an ideal material to replace natural stone and terrazzo.
(3) Gypsum hollow strip board. Gypsum hollow strip board is a type of hollow board made from building gypsum as the main raw material, mixed with an appropriate amount of lightweight filler or fiber material, and processed. This type of board does not require paper or adhesive, and does not require a keel during installation. It is a rapidly developing lightweight board. Mainly used for interior walls and partitions.
(4) Fiber gypsum board. Fiber gypsum board is made from building gypsum as the main raw material and added with an appropriate amount of fiber reinforced materials. This type of board has a higher bending strength than paper gypsum board, and can be used for interior walls and partitions, as well as to replace wood in furniture production.
In addition to traditional gypsum boards, there are also increasing new products, such as gypsum sound-absorbing boards, fire-resistant boards, insulation boards, and gypsum composite boards. The specifications of gypsum board are also developing towards high thickness and large size.
(5) Plant straw paper faced gypsum board. Unlike ordinary paper gypsum board, it uses a large amount of plant straw to fully utilize local waste, solving environmental problems and increasing farmers' economic income. It also reduces the weight of gypsum board, reduces transportation costs, and reduces coal and electricity consumption by 30% -45%, fully in line with relevant national industrial policies.
